Science and technology has got lot to offer and this time it is in field of pollution-free car. India's first Tri-fuel hybrid car was developed by the students from Mechanical Automation Branch of Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET).
This multi fuel car has an option of fuel intake either with Petrol, LPG and electricity therefore serving the purpose of being economical as well as eco-friendly. The team of 10 students prepared the car with a budget of Rs 2.5 lakh. The car offers the speed of 60 km-ph using its internal combustion engine and 42 km-ph using its batteries.
Though a little slow but the mileage balances it out. It has been tested successfully for more than 400 kms on Delhi roads to encounter the city conditions. The car gives 35-40 miles on one liter of petrol, where as the batteries can run 80-90 km on a single charge. A perfect eco-friendly car for Indian roads.
