i10 bags car of the year title

The cute looking car Hyundai i10 bagged The Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2008. The car that was launched in November last year in India won many heart shining on the Indian roads. The year 2008 saw a boost in its sale but also affected sales of Santro and Getz, it was a hit.
Santro sales were just above 4,700 units which used rival WagonR in sales before i10 came. Maruti Suzuki WagonR sales in the month were above 12,000 units mark. The factors that were considered to rank these cars were fuel efficiency, ride, handling, safety, comfort, driver satisfaction and price.
